Black Balled

November 5th, 2009 -- Posted in Uncategorized | 0

Welcome back!

Cutting edge, intelligent, rational. A medicine of sound laws of health. Homeopathy is more than one might expect. It is the promise that there is a better way.

Meanwhile, while on modern medicine’s watch for the last half century, we have witnessed countless increases of chronic disease…. autism, heart disease, infertility, cancer, MS , RA, obesity. One day we hear how promising a new drug is, the next we learn it has been removed from the market for having caused worse disease than the one it was intended to address. This is such a common event, that it’s barely given notice in our thoughts anymore.

Weren’t these drugs tested? Apparently not. The American public is the test. We are the lab rats upon whose health is harmed by the drugs of commerce. If any other industry had made such blatant and consistent mistakes, they would have come down on the chopping block long ago. The medical/pharmaceutical cartel have immunity to the wrath of the public. In fact they haven’t even lost credibility.

Well, perhaps until now. Finally, folks are fed up with taking a drug for cholesterol, then a drug to cover up the ill effects of the stating drug, then a drug to make it comfortable enough to take the last drug, then…..STOP! NO MORE!

Enter homeopathy. Homeopathy is a medical discipline that is oft misunderstood. It does not mean home remedies. It does not mean the use of herbs, or vitamins or even nutrition. It is actually a medicine of great repute throughout the world and was well established in the US until the 1940’s. It was a medical format, or specialty, that nestled side by side with modern medicine until the homeopaths became vocal. In fact throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, homeopathic doctors built 100 hospitals and 22 homeopathy medical schools throughout the US.

During that time, the voice of homeopathy was not a concern to conventional doctors until the homeopaths began to make public the foundation upon which homeopathy is built. Once they proclaimed that the cause of modern ills is directly attributable to the use of drugs, it was the beginning of their demise. This was blasphemy. It was high treason. In fact it was cause enough to be blackballed from medicine’s ivory tower.

In the world of modern medicine, symptoms are not only not valued, but are always worthy of elimination. There is no concern for the outcome of having removed them in an unsystematic and often dangerous way.

In contrast, rational medicine states that symptoms are signals that there is something wrong and they exist as an effort to find homeostasis or to adapt. In fact, the word symptom is from the Greek word which means sign or signal. When these signs or outward expressions of what is going on inside are suppressed or eliminated by drugs, we might see a short lived comfort. However, the illness will make another appearance later to prove that resolution is what is needed, not a cover-up; especially not from a drug that causes further illness. In other words, a headache that is suppressed with an analgesic is only disguised. It will likely return because the message still needs to be heard.

We can equate the use of cover-up meds to unplugging the smoke alarm in the kitchen. This will not address the smoke, or worse yet, the fire. The source needs to be tackled, not the end product. In other words, homeopathy stimulates the body’s ability to heal itself by simply matching the stimulus response. Such efforts have been shown in study after study over the last two centuries.

The burning question then becomes: Which paradigm of medicine ought to be black balled? The one that causes illness or the one that doesn’t?

Bread and Butter Basics of Hair Health With Homeopathy

November 5th, 2009 -- Posted in Uncategorized | 0

No one wants to lose their hair. Whether it’s a result of middle age for men, the aftermath of menopause for women or after a fever, the loss of hair can be a trying event. Hair loss can also be attributable to drug use, prescribed or not. Even hereditary hair loss can sometimes be halted with the correct natural care. This is where homeopathy and simple kitchen remedies can be employed.

Homeopathy is a medical discipline that has been shown to halt the loss of hair and put the sufferer in order. Because the word homeopathy includes the word home, many assume it means home remedies. Home remedies can indeed be useful in regaining and maintaining our health, but homeopathy is actually a form of medicine with a record that dates back to the late 1700’s and has been accepted throughout the world ever since. Unfortunately, this has not been the case in the United States since modern medicine was so enamored with antibiotics that it no longer considered homeopathy of value. This is changing and rapidly so. The premise of homeopathy is that he body has the ability to bring itself to health when given the correct stimulus. Well chosen homeopathic remedies offer that stimulus.

So how can homeopathy help with hair loss? If the loss is fairly recent and hair is still falling, then homeopathy can more than likely aid the situation. There are many remedies that can be considered, but before contacting a professional homeopath, it certainly would be prudent to give the following remedies a try.

The first remedy to consider is Calc phos 6x. This is particularly useful for hair loss due to a fever; however, it can also restore hair without that symptom. It should be given three times each day for several weeks. Stop when the job is complete. Silica 6x and Calc fluor 6x are also good choices for the loss of hair. These two remedies should be alternated so that one day three doses of Silica can be taken, while on the alternate day, Calc fluor 6x will replace Silica.

Although not considered homeopathic, diet can be a substantial contributor to either the loss of hair or the gaining of lustrous hair. A diet rich in animal and tropical fats is of the greatest value. That is, butter, lard, coconut oil and palm kernel oil. Making a habit of consuming these oils, rich in vitamins required for healthy hair and skin, can insure no further loss of hair and may re-institute the growth. In fact, it is likely that if these quality foods have been missing in the diet, that it might be the cause of the problem in the first place. Additionally, any of these natural oils applied to the scalp can invigorate health.

If these simple ideas find you without results, consider contacting a homeopathic consultant who can take the situation to a more personal level. The combination of homeopathy and natural diet change is natural and rational. It is not capricious like it’s modern medicine counterpart. Homeopathy and a high quality diet are true medicines for people who want to empower themselves with methods that don’t have an ulterior motive. Good bread and butter common sense for people who value intelligent action.

Are swine flu shots actually dangerous?

November 5th, 2009 -- Posted in Uncategorized | 0

About 30 years ago a decision was made to undertake a massive swine flu inoculation program in the United States. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but two things happened to throw mass vaccination programs into a bad light. For one thing, the anticipated swine flu pandemic never arose.

The other problem - which proved to be far more serious - was that (it appears) contaminated vaccine triggered a severe neurological problem in several hundred people who got the shot. This side effect was rare - about 1 case in every 100,000 inoculations. But because the pandemic never got started, there was no benefit to having taken the vaccine, so the side effects completely dominated column space in the newspapers of the day. The 1976 swine flu vaccine got a LOT of bad press.

To this day you cannot mention the topic of “swine flu vaccine” on the web without people jumping in with all sorts of conspiracy theories relating to vaccine companies and their intent to blanket the world with unsafe swine flu shots that will cause far more misery than good.

In Survive Pandemic Flu, Stephen Carter does a little risk management and shows us that if we assume the swine flu virus remains mild, and causes no more than 3 deaths in every 10,000 infections, and if the risk of a vaccine side effect today is as high as it was 30 years ago (unlikely), then the likelihood of dying from a swine flu infection is still about 10 times greater than dying from a side effect due to a bad vaccine.

I was surprised that the number is only 10, but this is a worse-case scenario, and if today’s vaccines are actually safer than the contaminated 1976 vaccines, then the number might be as much as 100. Then there is the possibility of a more deadly strain of swine flu arising. If that happens, the number swells again.

If you want the full details, check out Survive Pandemic Flu. It is the only place I have seen a realistic assessment of this kind of risk:
